DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE?
WHY DO I GIVEAWAY UMBRELLAS? I get it! It's strange to me too! Nevertheless, an umbrella was the one tool I had in my possession that would meet a most practical and "right now" need of a total stranger, which in that moment, I had the resource to help, however, God had to quickly adjusted my reluctant attitude before the traffic light turned green.
So, you see, I believe there is a divine connection between this experience in 2008, where I felt compelled to pick up my umbrella that was laying on the back seat of my car, roll down my car window, and hand it (my favorite black and white herringbone print umbrella) over to a woman standing at a bus stop, in the rain, with a small child.
I also believe God use this simple, yet practical tool and His compassionate gesture, to leave an unforgettable impact on everyone involved, especially me. Little did I realize, God used that situation to give me a new attitude and vision. Gradually and steadily over the years, "It's Gonna Rain! RED Umbrella Campaign" began to manifest and became an inspired evangelistic outreach ministry.
THE SAYING IS TRUE! "God can use anything!" If God can use a donkey to speak (see Numbers 22:28), and also warn that the rocks will cry out if we do not praise Him (Luke 19:37-40), then, dear readers, you and I should know, God can also use an umbrella (or anything else) to lift up His written Word (His Son Jesus Christ) to bring Himself glory, and to edify everyone who believes on His Word (Son). TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!
In short, this is why I give away [Gospel] Ministry Umbrellas with the message of God's Love, Faith, Peace, and Hope. Every umbrella comes with Bible material that helps recipients learn more about God. It is our desire that each reader will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and soon coming King.
I WAS BLESSED early in life as a young girl, when I heard about Jesus Christ and believed that GOD GAVE HIS SON TO DIE FOR MY SIN. Now it's time for me to be a blessing to others. My God awakened passion to give away umbrellas is not just a God-inspired tool, but, it is also an excellent segue that helps me tell others about the Good News of the Gospel. When the Lord opens a door, I take the opportunity to explain the significance or the meaning of the umbrella's RED color, its rod or stick shape, its arc or covering, and the umbrella's hooked handle. In other words, I explain that the umbrella is a type of shepherd's staff used to led, guide, and protect wandering sheep. The Bible says, " We all like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all" (Isaiah 53:6, KJV). Lastly, RED reminds us of the BLOOD Jesus Christ shed when He died on the Cross for my sins (and yours).
IT IS BECAUSE OF CHRIST'S BLOOD THAT GOD OUR HEAVENLY FATHER CAN FORGIVE US OF OUR SINS, IF WE REPENT (that means, TURN AWAY FROM OUR SINS), CONFESS JESUS CHRIST AS LORD, AND BELIEVE HE DIED AND ROSE FROM THE DEAD AND GRAVE ON THE THIRD DAY. IT IS OUR "FAITH" THAT CAUSES US TO BELIEVE THIS "TRUTH" WHICH SUBSEQUENTLY "SAVES" US.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16, KJV).
SO, IN ESSENCE, I'M GIVING AWAY THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST.
MY BACKGROUND: The Lord has blessed me to be a mother of two adult daughters and a grandmother of eight. My unspoken heart's desire to be a life-long learner is summed up in the following chronology: My first degree is in Human Resources Management (B.A.). Currently, my life's work is as a certified public school teacher. In addition to studying Elementary Education (M.Ed.), I've studied Theology (B.A.) and Pastoral Ministry (M.A.). God's purpose and alling on my life as a public servant and as a servant of Jesus Christ are inseparable passions, which gives me enormous joy and contentment. Just as important, every day I have an opportunity to glorify God and edify others in the process.

On June 25, 2018, After a delightful conversation which culminated into this dear lady accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, I felt the Spirit of God tugging on my heart, AGAIN! I felt His leading and became inspired to go to my car, retrieve my very own HIGH IMPACT [Gospel] Ministry Umbrella, and give it to this precious new Believer. THIS TIME, WITHOUT HESITATION, I OBEYED!
This RED umbrella is the first one I handcrafted after becoming inspired to launch a 2018 "GOD IS LOVE" CAMPAIGN, which has merged into our "LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR" CAMPAIGN. (Matthew 22:36-40)
